The Challenged Loaded Language

Saturday, June 26th, 2010

Street Date: 6/20/10 – Available today at the Insubordination Fest 2010.

New York, NY based “The Challenged” sharpen the blade and cut to the quick on their 3rd release “Loaded Language”. Loaded Language is 13 tracks of perfect melodic punk that reminds us of the first time we heard Green Day’s “Kerplunk” and where we left off with Jawbreaker’s “Dear You”. Updated, clear and concise, Rob Suss (Vocals, Guitar) takes us though the visceral “disappointments and what ifs” that life unfailingly throws at us. The thick pop drumming of Mike Lindenberg, and driving, digging bass of Colin Kane meet “the good chords” and truly sincere vocals of Suss, leaving us with a melodic punk gem that will be held close in our hearts. After all, aren’t those records really the ones we love, the ones that say what we can’t?

The Riptides Sold Out!

Tuesday, March 30th, 2010

It’s official, The Riptides “Tough Luck” is gone from my inventory. I have a scant few copies of “Mental Therapy” left, so if you’re so inclined – get on that shit. Also, we will have a Riptides LP soon-ish so, stay tuned.

The Dwyers are killing it and if you’re so inclined you really need to get that and the Transgressions record. My pal Sam @ Traffic Street Records just did a split with the Transgressions and The Side Project. The art is an homage to m ‘Waste My Time” release- check that stuff out, it rules.

Transgressions Tour

Thursday, January 28th, 2010

The Transgressions kick of their 2010 tour with Off With Their Heads and another Madison band, Direct Hit. I’ve posted the tour dates in the “Shows” section. Check them out! Eric from the Jetty Boys claims that these guys are THE next Street Pop Punks. I think they rule, and their CDEP “Waste My Time” is refreshingly cool. Support live music! See a live band!

Happy New Year

Thursday, December 31st, 2009

Thanks to the bands and the fans for making 2009 our best year to date at the label. We have some great plans for 2010 starting with a kick off of the Jetty Boys Winter 2010 tour. Check the shows section for tour dates in a town close to you. The Jetty’s will have Merman Records (Canada) band ‘The Roman Line” on tour with them supporting their latest release “Morning Portraits”. I suggest you check them out and make the time to support hard working touring bands.

In 2010 we are planning releases from The Dwyers, Tenement/ Cheeky, The Challenged and a few others that I’m keeping a surprise at this time. Also, I’m working on a joint release of “Sheboygan” on 12”LP with details forth coming.

Last I now have a full supply of the traditional “Rally Logo” Shirts in multiple sizes. These are the American Apparel shirts that were sold at Monona Merch. I want to make some space for upcoming projects and will be offering these at a discount. I should have them added to the Merch page just after the Holiday.

Thanks again, and I look forward to 2010 being another great year for music!
